Emergency Management Outreach Program

Thank you for your commitment to the CSTI Emergency Management Outreach Department. As many of you know the teaching requirement to remain a certified instructor has been changed to four hours annually. Due to the current situation with COVID-19 we have decided to extend that deadline to close of business on December 31, 2021. This extension provides an additional twelve months to fulfill your 2020 teaching requirement.

As a reminder, you do not have to teach your own course to receive your four-hour teaching credit. You are welcome to be an instructor during another instructor’s course. If you choose to go this route you will need to submit an EM Form 180 along with the schedule for the course that shows the blocks you had taught.

This site provides resources for those who have been state certified as an Emergency Management Outreach Instructor in one or all the following courses/exercises:

Certified Emergency Management Outreach Instructor Requirements

Emergency Management Outreach Forms, Curriculum and Support Material
